What's left behind the scenes
- In the film, the soldiers buy a Panasonic RX CT-840 stereo. The model name is clearly visible later, at the 23rd minute, when they are riding in an APC and turn on a cassette. This stereo began production in 1992, while the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan began in 1988 and ended in 1989.
- The car the general is riding in is a Volga 3102, with a new dashboard that was produced starting in 1998. That is, 10 years after the events of the story.
