What's left behind the scenes
- The film's principal photography took place in Puerto Rico.
- This is the first film in the franchise to be shown in IMAX format.
- Throughout the film, its characters drink Brahma beer.
- There is an extended version of the film called “Fast Five: Extended Edition,” which is only 1.5 minutes longer than the original.
- After the end credits, you can see Hobbs sitting in his office at the moment when Monica Fuentes (a secret agent from “2 Fast 2 Furious”) brings him a file on a recent criminal case. When Hobbs opens it, a photograph of Letty is attached inside, who was supposedly killed in the fourth installment, but the case suggests quite the opposite.
