My Demon Lover

Denny keeps ending up with the wrong men, and when her boyfriend Chip walks out on her again, she seems resigned to the same pattern. Two very different suitors present themselves: the awkward, studious Charles and Kaz, a street musician with an unusual problem. Kaz believes he is under a curse that turns him into a monstrous creature whenever he becomes sexually aroused, and he is reluctant to get close to anyone because of it. Denny initially dismisses his explanation as an excuse, but the strange events around them suggest he may be telling the truth.

Directed by Charlie Loventhal from a screenplay by Leslie Ray, the film stars Scott Valentine as Kaz and Michele Little as Denny, with Robert Trebor, Gina Gallego, Alan Fudge and Peewee Piemonte among the credited cast of 31. It mixes comedy, fantasy, horror and romance, and was produced by Robert Shaye and Gerald T. Olson for New Line Cinema.

Released in April 1987, the film runs 90 minutes and took in about 4 million dollars worldwide.
