Five friends, consisting of three men and two women, travel by funicular to the top of a mountain to celebrate New Year's Eve. Their holiday turns into a struggle for survival when the cable car breaks down and leaves them stranded over a deep abyss. Faced with freezing temperatures and the fear of death, the group members begin to clash as their true personalities emerge.
