Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears

In 1929 Jerusalem, Phryne Fisher secures the release of Shirin Abbas, a young Bedouin woman held in prison. The case draws the Australian sleuth and Detective Inspector Jack Robinson into a mystery dating back roughly ten years, one involving valuable emeralds, an old curse, and the fate of Shirin's tribe. Their inquiry carries them from London to the Middle East, with members of the British aristocracy among those touched by wartime events in Palestine. Constable Hugh Collins, housekeeper Dot and Aunt Prudence also feature.

The film is directed by Tony Tilse from a screenplay by Deb Cox, with Lucy Maclaren and Fiona Eagger producing.
