In a remote region of the Andes, a rural police officer named Cruz investigates the discovery of a beheaded woman. The primary suspect is David, the husband of Cruz's lover, Francisca. While held in a psychiatric hospital, David claims that a mysterious and inexplicable monster is responsible for the crime. As the investigation continues, Cruz explores theories involving the movements of motorcyclists and the geometry of the landscape.
