Short description
Two New Orleans paramedics' lives are ripped apart after encountering a series of horrific deaths linked to a designer drug with bizarre, otherworldly effects.
What's left behind the scenes
- Steve and Dennis (played by Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan, respectively) sit down by the side of the road to talk while walking through New Orleans. The house across from which they stop once belonged to writer, screenwriter, and producer Anne Rice.
- The film states that a synthetic drug called Synchronic is made from a red plant (flower) that grows in the California desert. This is a reference to the plant smoked by members of the commune in The Endless project.
- Steve's dog (played by Anthony Mackie) is named Hawking. The dog received this name in honor of Stephen Hawking – a British theoretical physicist, astrophysicist, and writer. Furthermore, the dog is of the same breed as Doc Brown's dog Einstein in Robert Zemeckis's adventure science fiction film "Back to the Future" (1985).
