The Perfect Find

The Perfect Find follows Jenna Jones, a forty-year-old fashion editor whose career and personal life have both stalled. After being fired from a high-profile job, she takes a position working for Darcy, a demanding boss who gives her a chance to rebuild. At a party, Jenna kisses a charming younger man, only to discover afterward that he is Eric, her new colleague and Darcy's son. The two begin a secret relationship, leaving Jenna to weigh her renewed career against a romance that could undo everything if it becomes known.

The film is a romantic comedy directed by Numa Perrier, written by Leigh Davenport, and based on Tia Williams's novel of the same name. Gabrielle Union, who also produced, stars as Jenna, with Keith Powers as Eric, Gina Torres as Darcy, Aisha Hinds as Billie, La La Anthony as Elodie, and D.B. Woodside as Brian. It runs 99 minutes.

Released in June 2023, the film drew modest audience scores: 5.2 out of 10 on IMDb from roughly 3,800 votes, and 6.1 out of 10 on TMDB from a much smaller pool of 144 votes. The difference in vote volume suggests a widely seen streaming title with a limited but slightly more favorable response among TMDB users.
