- Before filming the scene where Dennis Hopper's character (1936-2010) appears on the field drunk during a game, the actor asked director David Anspach to warn him 10 seconds before the command “Action!”. He spent those 10 seconds spinning around his own axis, after which he could barely stand and genuinely looked completely drunk.
