Exile

Xhafer is a chemical engineer born in Kosovo who has built a stable, middle-class life in Germany with his wife, Nora, and their children. Despite his professional success and integration, he begins to feel targeted by discrimination and harassment from his colleagues. As events escalate, Xhafer becomes convinced that his coworkers are making racist statements, leading to a deep identity crisis. While he sees every gesture as evidence of bullying, his wife struggles to accept his perspective, questioning if the hostility is systemic or personal.

The film was written and directed by Visar Morina, marking the first of two directed works listed in his career, followed by Shame and Money. The cast is led by Mišel Matičević and Sandra Hüller, with supporting roles played by Rainer Bock, Thomas Mraz, Flonja Kodheli, and Victoria Trauttmansdorff.
