Let's Rob the Bank

Victor Garnier is a shopkeeper who loses his family's life savings after following a banker's advice to invest in a mining company. Feeling cheated when the investment fails, he decides to reclaim the money by robbing the bank. He recruits his family to help him dig a tunnel from their basement to the bank vault, though the plan is complicated by his wife's tendency to reveal secrets to the local police.

This French crime comedy was directed by Jean Girault and represents the third of 13 films he directed, following Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez and preceding The Gendarme in New York. Girault also co-wrote the screenplay with Jacques Vilfrid.
