Bad Boys: Ride or Die follows Miami detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, whose late captain is accused of corruption and ties to drug cartels. Convinced the allegations are false, the pair set out to clear his name, only to find themselves pursued as fugitives. To solve the case, they have to operate outside the rules they once enforced.
Released in June 2024, the film is the fourth entry in the Bad Boys series. Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah directed it, their second time behind the camera for the franchise after Bad Boys for Life, and the film sits between Rebel and Gangstas in their filmography. The screenplay is by Chris Bremner and Will Beall, with Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman and Will Smith producing. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reprise their roles as Lowrey and Burnett, joined by Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Nuñez and Eric Dane among a credited cast of 52.
Made for about 100 million dollars, the film took roughly 405 million dollars worldwide, a strong return on its budget. On IMDb it holds 6.5 out of 10 from around 112,000 votes, while on TMDB it rates 7.3 from a much smaller base of 3,471 votes. A critics' rating of 6 out of 10 from 252 reviews places it close to the audience scores.
