Gunpowder Milkshake

Gunpowder Milkshake follows Sam, a professional killer who works for a crime organization known as the Firm. Raised by that same organization after her mother Scarlet, also a hitwoman, disappeared to keep her safe, Sam has grown into a capable assassin in her own right. When a job goes wrong and an eight-year-old girl ends up in danger, Sam turns against her employers and becomes the target of the syndicate and its many enforcers. Her only way out is to find her mother and the women Scarlet once worked with, a group of equally skilled killers who reunite to take on the people hunting them.

The film is the second feature directed by Navot Papushado, following Big Bad Wolves in 2013, and he wrote the screenplay with Ehud Lavski. Karen Gillan plays Sam, with Lena Headey as Scarlet, Chloe Coleman as Emily, and Carla Gugino, Michelle Yeoh and Angela Bassett as Scarlet's former associates. It was produced by Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman, with a budget of about 30 million dollars, and was released in July 2021.

On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.1 from roughly 55,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.3 from a much smaller base of about 1,200 votes. The critics' rating of 5.9 from 170 reviews places it slightly below both audience scores. Its worldwide box office of about 1 million dollars was far short of its production budget.
