What's left behind the scenes

  • Given Christopher Lambert's popularity (who played the protagonist Peter Sanderson) with European audiences, the film was released first in the UK, Asia, and Australia, and only then in the USA.
  • Unlike the widescreen theatrical version distributed to cinemas, the home video version includes the uncut top and bottom portions of the image.
  • The European version of the film is approximately 11 minutes longer than the American version, providing more detail about the protagonist's relationship with his deceased wife. Some dialogues are also longer in the European version. The American version of the film was slightly trimmed to pick up the pacing of the narrative.
  • Erica, played by Catherine Isabelle, plays the computer game Super Mario Bros. 3. However, this game was released for other devices, not for computers.
