Tales from the Magic Garden

Three siblings, Tom, Suzanne, and Derek, visit their grandfather and find the household changed following the loss of their grandmother. Since the grandmother was the family storyteller, the house feels empty and their grandfather seems distant. To bring back the joy and warmth, eight-year-old Suzanne begins inventing her own magical stories for her brothers. Through these imaginative tales, the children and their grandfather find comfort and reconnect. The plot is based on three stories written by Arnost Goldflam.

This animated family film is a co-production between Slovakia, Slovenia, France, and the Czech Republic. It was directed by Jean-Claude Rozec, Patrik Pašš, Leon Vidmar, and David Súkup, with a screenplay written by Blandine Jet, Jerneja Kaja Balog, and Maja Križnik. The project was produced by Juraj Krasnohorský, Martin Vandas, and Kolja Saksida. Released on May 18, 2025, the movie has a runtime of 70 minutes and blends elements of comedy, drama, and fantasy.
