The Hater

A young man joins a public relations agency and discovers how to use social media to launch smear campaigns and online attacks. Driven by a desire for revenge and a need to impress a childhood friend and her family, he becomes skilled at manipulating political opinions. As he finds success in this dishonest profession, his virtual hatred leads to violent consequences in the real world and causes him to lose his own humanity.

The drama thriller was directed by Jan Komasa, following his previous work on Suicide Room, Warsaw 44, and Corpus Christi. It was released in 2020 as a Polish production from companies including dFlights, TVN Group, Canal+ Polska, and K2studio.
