Sputnik

In 1983 Soviet Union, a spacecraft returns to Earth after a mission that went wrong, and only its commander survives. He is taken to a secret research facility, where a neurophysiologist is brought in to assess his condition. He remembers almost nothing of what happened, and his memory loss is not the only troubling sign. Something appears to have travelled back inside him, and the psychologist finds herself risking more than her professional detachment as she tries to keep her patient alive.

Sputnik is a Russian science fiction horror drama directed by Egor Abramenko, working from a screenplay by Oleg Malovichko and Andrey Zolotarev; among its producers is Fyodor Bondarchuk, who also appears as Colonel Semiradov. The film runs 113 minutes and stars Oksana Akinshina as Tatyana Klimova and Pyotr Fyodorov as the cosmonaut Konstantin Veshnyakov, with Anton Vasilyev, Aleksey Demidov and Anna Nazarova in supporting roles. It was made for about 3 million dollars and had a wide credited cast of 20 and crew of 44.
