Voice of Silence

Voice of Silence follows two men who work for a criminal organization. They are assigned the less violent side of the job: preparing locations and cleaning up afterwards. Their routine changes when their superior orders them to watch over an eleven-year-old girl named Cho-hee who has been kidnapped, holding her until her father pays a ransom. The quiet Tae-in takes her to his home in the countryside, where he lives with his younger sister Moon-joo. The arrangement puts both men in a position they never expected, and their situation becomes more complicated when their supervisor is killed.

The film is the first feature directed and written by Hong Eui-jeong. Yoo Ah-in plays Tae-in, Yoo Jae-myung plays Chang-bok, and Moon Seung-ah plays Cho-hee, with Lee Ga-eun, Jo Ha-seok and Kim Ja-young in supporting roles. It was made for about 1 million USD and took around 3 million USD worldwide.

On IMDb it holds 6.5 out of 10 from roughly 2,100 votes, while on TMDB it has 7.4 out of 10 from 97 votes. A critics' rating of 6.6 out of 10 from eight reviews sits close to the IMDb figure, slightly above it.
