Krazy House

Krazy House is a comedy horror film centred on Bernie Christian, a devout family man whose life resembles a 1990s television sitcom. When Russian workmen hired to fix up his home turn out to be wanted criminals, they seize Bernie and his household and force them to tear the place apart looking for old loot. Bernie must finally take charge if he is to get his wife and children out of danger. The film was directed by Steffen Haars and Flip van der Kuil, who also wrote the screenplay together, with Nick Frost, Haars and Van der Kuil serving as producers.

Nick Frost plays Bernie, with Alicia Silverstone as his wife Eva, Jan Bijvoet as Piotr, Gaite Jansen as Sarah, Walt Klink as Adam and Chris Peters as Dmitri. The film arrived twelve years after Haars and Van der Kuil's debut feature New Kids Turbo, well before Haars's Get Away and Van der Kuil's Carnaval.

Released in May 2024, the film has drawn modest audience scores: on IMDb it holds a rating of 4.8 from around 1,700 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 4.9 from a much smaller base of 51 votes. A critics' rating of 3.9 from 18 reviews places it below even those audience figures, so the response has been limited across the board.
