In 1965, an alien fleet destroys the space station JSS-3 and launches a global assault on Earth, using rays that alter gravity and allow the invaders to influence human minds. The nations of the world set aside their rivalries and unite against the common threat, forming a council to trace the attacks and prepare a counterstrike. Because the aliens have established a base on the Moon, the first objective is to destroy that outpost, and the campaign builds toward a battle in outer space.
