Run Hide Fight

Zoe Hull is a seventeen-year-old student grieving the recent death of her mother while struggling to connect with her emotionally distant father, Todd. She wants only to finish her final year of high school and start fresh at college, but her plans are shattered when four armed students seize control of her Texas high school, taking classmates hostage and broadcasting the attack online. Instead of fleeing, Zoe draws on the hunting and survival skills her father taught her to resist the attackers and fight for the lives of those trapped inside.

Kyle Rankin wrote and directed the film, which followed his 2009 feature Infestation. Isabel May plays Zoe, with Thomas Jane as her father, Radha Mitchell as her mother, Eli Brown as the lead attacker, Olly Sholotan as her friend Lewis, and Treat Williams as a sheriff. Produced by Dallas Sonnier and Amanda Presmyk for around two million dollars, the film runs 109 minutes.

Run Hide Fight drew a mixed response. Critics rated it 4.6 out of 10 across 20 reviews, well below its audience scores of 6.3 on IMDb from roughly 30,000 votes and 6.5 on TMDB from a much smaller pool of voters. Rankin returned to the story with a 2026 follow-up, Run Hide Fight: Infidels.
