Short description

In the 1990s, two brothers were accused of murdering eight women, one man and one child in the Serra dos Órgãos region. In the eyes of the suspects, Sergeant Téo realizes that the trial of the press, police and local society is fundamentally racist, and begins to have doubts about the conviction of one of them. Based on a true story, the film is a work of fiction about the famous case of the "Necrophil Brothers."

The film shows the killer taking the mother but sparing her child. In reality, the woman was pregnant; her killer tortured her to death and beat the child for trying to defend his mother. Neighbors and police found him in the forest. A few days later, the child died in the hospital from the injuries sustained.
The film shows the locals killing the brothers' parents for the crimes they committed. In reality, the parents had left town specifically because they feared it would end this way. It is also claimed that the brothers raped their own female relatives.
The character played by Renato Goes finds it difficult to track the brothers through the dense forest, as he grew up in the city. Such tasks indeed pose difficulties for police officers accustomed to operating in urban environments.
