Nick and Audrey Spitz have turned their amateur sleuthing into a business, opening their own detective agency. Their prospects change when a wealthy friend is abducted during his own wedding, giving the couple the kind of case that could establish their agency for good.
The film is a sequel that continues the pairing of Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston as the married detectives. Jeremy Garelick directed from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt, who also produced alongside Aniston and Sandler. The supporting cast includes Mark Strong, Mélanie Laurent, Jodie Turner-Smith and John Kani. It is the second feature Garelick directed, following The Wedding Ringer in 2015 and preceding Rolling Loud: The Movie in 2026. With a runtime of 91 minutes, it mixes action and adventure with comedy, crime and mystery.
Audience response was modest: on IMDb the film holds 5.7 out of 10 from roughly 83,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.4 out of 10 from about 2,000 votes. A film critics' rating of 5 out of 10 from 94 reviews places it close to the audience scores rather than clearly above or below them.
