The Wishmas Tree

The Wishmas Tree follows a young opossum named Kerry who accidentally freezes her home, Sanctuary City, after making a wish for a snowy holiday. This mistake puts the lives of the town's inhabitants at risk and leaves the magical tree that grants wishes on the verge of death. To save her community and reverse the damage, Kerry must travel through dangerous wild lands, where she faces ghostly predators and the threat of extinction.

Produced in Australia, this animated family adventure was directed by Ricard Cussó. It is the first of seven films directed by Cussó, followed by Combat Wombat and Daisy Quokka: World's Scariest Animal. The film features a voice cast including Miranda Tapsell as Kerry, Ross Noble as Yarra, and Kate Murphy as Petra and Bernard The Drop Bear. Cussó also provided the voice for Augustus The Toad, while Ryan Renshaw and Ed Oxenbould appear as Dad Possum and Sweetie, respectively. The screenplay was written by Peter Ivan.
