Ted K

Ted K is a crime drama about Ted Kaczynski, the man known as the Unabomber, during the years he spent living in a remote cabin in the mountains of Montana. The film follows his growing hostility toward modern technology and the society that promotes it, and his turn from small acts of sabotage toward the bombings that made him the target of a major manhunt. It draws on his own writings from that period.

Tony Stone directed and co-wrote the screenplay with Gaddy Davis and John Rosenthal. Sharlto Copley, who also produced, plays Kaczynski, with supporting roles filled by Drew Powell, Christian Calloway, Amber Rose Mason, Bob Jennings and Tahmus Rounds. The film runs two hours and was released in October 2021.

The film sits at 6 out of 10 on IMDb from roughly 4,900 votes and the same score on TMDB from a much smaller pool of 151 votes, indicating modest and broadly similar audience reactions. A critics' rating of 6.4 out of 10 from 40 reviews places it slightly above those audience scores. The credited cast of 46 and crew of 48 reflect a small-scale independent production.
