Burning Days

Burning Days is a drama and thriller set in the Turkish town of Yaniklar, a place struggling with a severe water shortage. The story follows Emre, a dedicated young prosecutor recently appointed to the area. Upon his arrival, Emre clashes with the local elite and the mayor, who seek to maintain their power and privileges. As the mayoral election approaches, the prosecutor becomes entangled in local politics and faces increasing hostility, especially after a young woman is raped and he forms a connection with the owner of a local newspaper.

The film was written and directed by Emin Alper, marking the first of two listed films in his career.
