Ek Villain Returns

Ek Villain Returns is an Indian action crime thriller about a serial killer operating in Mumbai. When a singer disappears during a string of murders, a taxi driver and a businessman's son become caught up in events that bring them together, in a story where the line between good and evil is deliberately blurred. The film follows Gautam Mehra, the reckless son of a wealthy family whose outburst at his ex-girlfriend's wedding is filmed and goes viral, and Aarvi Malhotra, an aspiring singer who turns footage of that incident into a parody song and gains fame from it. Their paths cross around a music festival where a well-known singer is scheduled to perform, and Gautam's scheming reshapes both of their careers. A separate killer with a taste for brutality is at large through all of it.

Mohit Suri directed and co-wrote the screenplay with Aseem Arora, and the film was produced by Bhushan Kumar, Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under T-Series and Balaji Telefilms. It is the fourth of the five features Suri has directed, arriving between Half Girlfriend in 2017 and Saiyaara in 2025. The cast is led by John Abraham as Bhairav Purohit, Arjun Kapoor as Gautam Mehra, Tara Sutaria as Aarvi Malhotra and Disha Patani as Rasika Mapuskar, with J. D. Chakravarthi and Shaad Randhawa among the twenty credited performers.

On IMDb the film holds a rating of 4.4 from roughly 17,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6 out of 10 from a much smaller base of about 136 votes. The two figures point in different directions, with the larger sample considerably less favourable than the smaller one.
