Cheaper by the Dozen is a 2022 American family comedy about Zoey and Paul Baker, who have ten children between them from earlier relationships. Together with the parents, the household runs to twelve people, and day-to-day life is loud, crowded and full of small crises. Alongside raising the kids, the couple runs Baker's Breakfast, a family restaurant known for Paul's sauce. When the business needs room to grow, the family considers moving to a larger house in a wealthier suburb, a plan the children do not welcome, and Paul finds himself trying to hold the household together.
The film is a remake of the 2003 comedy of the same name, and it was directed by Gail Lerner from a screenplay by Jenifer Rice-Genzuk Henry and Kenya Barris, who also produced. Gabrielle Union and Zach Braff play the parents, with Erika Christensen, Timon Kyle Durrett, Journee Brown and Andre Robinson among a credited cast of 58.
It runs 107 minutes and was released on March 18, 2022. Reception has been mixed: on TMDB it holds 6.3/10 from 286 votes, while on IMDb it sits at 4.6/10 from 7,300 votes. A film critics' rating of 5.1/10 from 39 reviews places it slightly below the TMDB audience figure and above the IMDb one.
