After a catastrophic crash on what initially appears to be an uncharted planet, pilot Mills discovers that he has actually landed on Earth, 65 million years in the past. He and Koa, the only other survivor of the wreck, must make their way across an unfamiliar landscape filled with dangerous prehistoric creatures toward a single chance of rescue, while a looming asteroid strike threatens the planet.

The film was directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, who also wrote the screenplay, following their 2019 debut Haunt and preceding their 2024 film Heretic. Adam Driver stars as Mills, with Ariana Greenblatt as Koa; Sam Raimi is among the producers. The production, mounted by Columbia Pictures with TSG Entertainment, Bron Studios and Raimi Productions, cost about 45 million dollars and took in roughly 61 million dollars worldwide, a return that fell short of its budget.

On IMDb, voters rate the film 5.4 out of 10 from about 106,000 votes, while the smaller pool on TMDB puts it at 6 out of 10. A critics' rating of 4.8 out of 10 from 130 reviews places it below both audience scores, so professional assessment was noticeably cooler than the general viewer response.
