Robinson Crusoeland

Stan and Ollie inherit an island and an old boat in the South Pacific. While attempting to reach their new property, a storm wrecks their vessel, leaving them stranded on an atoll. Accompanied by a cook and a young woman, they establish their own form of government on the land. However, the discovery of uranium deposits on the island attracts the attention of global powers, disrupting their peace and forcing the group to flee.

Directed by Léo Joannon, this comedy was released in 1951. It is the second film listed in the director's career, following What a Funny Kid! and preceding The Unfrocked One and Sister Angele's Secret. The film stars Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy in their title roles, alongside Suzy Delair, Max Elloy, Félix Oudart, and Adriano Rimoldi. The production was a joint effort between Italy and France, involving several companies including Franco London Films and Films EGE.
