Short description
Terrorists in Scandinavia seize the British ambassador at his residence, demanding the release of several comrades imprisoned in England. Simultaneously, another group hijacks an airliner to facilitate an escape with former prisoners, but a rough landing leaves the plane damaged and grounded. Colonel Nils Tahlvik, a security chief, manages the negotiations and attempts to resolve the crises. As he works to secure the hostages, he encounters resistance and uncovers unexpected details regarding the nature of the plot and the identities of the hijackers.
Directed by Casper Wrede and written by Paul Wheeler, this 1974 action thriller stars Sean Connery as Colonel Tahlvik and Ian McShane as Ray Petrie. The supporting cast includes Jeffry Wickham, Isabel Dean, Robert Harris, and James Maxwell. Produced by Peter Rawley through British Lion Films, Lion International, and Rawley Film & Theatre, the film has a runtime of 95 minutes.

- Principal photography for the film took place in Oslo, Norway.
- The Norwegian Pilots' Association was initially opposed to using Oslo Airport for filming.
- Hans-Otto Meyer, a prominent Norwegian financier and shipowner, provided the aircraft for filming. Sean Connery (1930-2020) and Ian McShane received an invitation to his villa, where they were shown (as it later turned out) a secret weapons depot of the Norwegian army in case of the country's occupation. Several years later, Meyer was arrested, and the existence of such depots and plans, previously known only to a few high-ranking government officials, became public knowledge.
