Project Silence

Project Silence is a Korean action thriller set around a bridge leading to Incheon Airport. When fog suddenly cuts visibility to almost nothing, a chain of collisions leaves drivers and passengers trapped on the span, which begins to show signs of giving way. Rescue services struggle to reach the scene in time. Unbeknownst to the stranded travellers, a van crossing the bridge is secretly carrying dogs bred for a military programme known as Project Silence. The animals get loose among the wreckage, and the survivors find themselves hunted as well as trapped.

The film is directed by Kim Tae-gon, who wrote the screenplay with Kim Yong-hwa and Park Joo-suk, and stars Lee Sun-kyun, Ju Ji-hoon, Kim Hee-won, Moon Sung-keun, Ye Su-jeong and Kim Tae-woo. It was released in July 2024 and runs 96 minutes. Made for about 15 million dollars, it took in roughly 6 million at the worldwide box office, a return well short of its cost.

Audience responses split along familiar lines: on IMDb it holds 5.4 from around 4,200 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.9 from roughly 430. A critics' rating of 5.2 from 14 reviews puts professional opinion below both audience scores, closest to the IMDb figure.
