I Am Greta

I Am Greta is a documentary about Greta Thunberg, a fifteen-year-old student in Sweden who began a school strike for the climate in August 2018. Sitting alone outside the Swedish parliament with a handmade sign, she asked why she should prepare for a future that adults seemed unwilling to protect. Her protest soon drew thousands of young people around the world into a global movement, turning a quiet teenager on the autism spectrum into a public figure who met heads of state and spoke at international forums. Director Nathan Grossman spent about a year filming her, capturing both her public appearances and quieter moments with her family.
