A con artist on the run from a hired killer decides his safest option is a jail cell, so he deliberately gets himself arrested at a small-town police station. His plan assumes the building will keep him out of reach. It does not: the man pursuing him arranges to be locked up in the same precinct, and a rookie officer on duty is drawn into the confrontation that follows.

Joe Carnahan directed and co-wrote the film with Kurt McLeod; Gerard Butler, Frank Grillo and Carnahan produced it. It arrived in 2021, the same year as Carnahan's Boss Level and the seventh of the ten features listed in his filmography, between Boss Level and Not Without Hope. Butler plays Bob Viddick, Grillo plays Teddy Murretto, and Alexis Louder plays Valerie Young, the young police officer; Toby Huss, Chad L. Coleman and Ryan O'Nan appear among the thirty credited cast members.

Released in September 2021, the film runs 108 minutes. It carries ratings of 6.2/10 on IMDb from 45,000 votes and 6.3/10 on TMDB, while a critics' rating of 6.5/10 from 112 reviews places professional assessments slightly above the audience scores. Made for a reported 44 million USD, it returned about 7 million USD worldwide, a result well short of its production cost.
