Pierre, a divorced man in his forties, takes his teenage daughter Martine on a summer holiday to the French Riviera, joined by his longtime friend Jacques and Jacques's seventeen-year-old daughter Françoise. While the two fathers pass the time discussing marriage and parenthood, the girls go off to parties with boys their own age. At one such party, Françoise turns her attention to Pierre, and the two begin an affair. Pierre soon wants to end it, but Françoise has fallen in love and insists on telling her father. She does so without naming Pierre, leaving Jacques to ask his friend for help in finding out who seduced his daughter, which forces Pierre to choose between his feelings for the girl and his loyalty to her father.
Claude Berri directed and wrote the film, which followed his 1972 comedy Sex Shop. Jean-Pierre Marielle plays Pierre, Victor Lanoux plays Jacques, Agnès Soral plays Françoise and Christine Dejoux plays Martine. Pierre Grunstein produced the film for Renn Productions and SFP.
The film runs eighty-one minutes and mixes comedy, drama and romance. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.4 from 787 votes, while on TMDB it has a rating of 6.1 from 49 votes. Berri went on to direct Jean de Florette and Manon of the Spring in 1986, Germinal in 1993 and Hunting & Gathering in 2007.
