The Generation of Evil

A police commissioner in a small Lithuanian town faces a crisis as he nears retirement. While he is seen as a respected figure, he hides personal indiscretions and connections to a powerful social elite. When a series of violent deaths occur among his circle of acquaintances, he is tasked with leading the investigation. The process becomes dangerous as the search for a killer threatens to reveal the hidden secrets of the town's most prominent citizens, forcing the commissioner to work alongside a strict and ambitious young investigator.

Directed by Emilis Vėlyvis, this drama and thriller is the second film in his career following Redirected. The screenplay was written by Vėlyvis and Jonas Banys, and the production was handled by Kino kultas and the Lithuanian Film Center. The film features Vytautas Kaniušonis in the lead role as Gintas Krasauskas, appearing alongside Ingeborga Dapkūnaitė, Ainis Storpirštis, Vaidotas Martinaitis, Toma Vaškevičiūtė, and Donatas Šimukauskas. A total of 47 cast members are credited in the production.
