The Grandson

Rudi is a reserved office worker who shares a close relationship with his grandfather. After his grandfather's health and spirit are damaged by a cruel phone scam, Rudi seeks to bring the criminals to justice. To infiltrate the group of scammers, he must change his personality and step outside his usual boundaries, eventually teaming up with a group of elderly allies to stop the fraudsters.

The film was directed by Kristóf Deák, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Nina Kov. This Hungarian drama thriller is the second of three films directed by Deák, following Captives and preceding Egykutya. The production was handled by Flashback Productions and features a cast including Gergő Blahó, Tamás Jordán, Gábor Jászberényi, Judit Pogány, Laura Döbrösi, and Judit Pecháček.
