Bhediya

Bhediya follows Bhaskar, a road construction contractor who travels to a remote part of Arunachal Pradesh to build a highway through dense forest. After he is bitten by a wolf, strange deaths begin occurring around him, and he starts to undergo a physical transformation. With a group of friends, he searches for answers while fearing what he is becoming and the danger it poses to the local community.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film was released in late 2022 and runs about two and a half hours. It mixes comedy and horror with fantasy drawn from regional folklore. The screenplay is by Niren Bhatt, and Dinesh Vijan produced it for Maddock Films and Jio Studios. Varun Dhawan plays Bhaskar, with Kriti Sanon as Dr. Anika, Abhishek Banerjee as Jana, Paalin Kabak as Jomin, Deepak Dobriyal as Panda, and Saurabh Shukla as Bagga.

The film had a budget of about 7 million dollars and earned roughly 11 million dollars worldwide, a return that suggests it found a decent audience relative to its cost. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.7 from around 29,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.9 from a much smaller number of votes.
