Dig

A widower and his daughter arrive at an abandoned property, where armed intruders take them captive and force them to dig beneath the house. The excavation is aimed at recovering whatever lies buried there, and it brings to light secrets connected to the man's past. Escape proves difficult, and the pair must find a way out before the ordeal turns fatal.

Dig is a 2022 American mystery thriller running 90 minutes, directed by K. Asher Levin from a screenplay by Banipal Ablakhad and Benhur Ablakhad, with Rob Goodrich producing. It followed Slayers the same year and came roughly a decade after Levin's earlier feature, Cougars, Inc. Thomas Jane plays Scott Brennan, Harlow Jane plays his daughter Jane Brennan, and Emile Hirsch plays the intruder Victor, with Liana Liberato, Makana David and Diego Romero in supporting roles.

The film was released on September 23, 2022. Audience responses have been weak: on IMDb it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 10 from about 1,300 votes, and on TMDB a rating of 4.9 out of 10 from a much smaller pool of 45 votes. The two scores are close to each other, and the larger vote count on IMDb makes that figure the firmer signal of how viewers received the film.
