Interceptor

Captain JJ Collins has been reassigned to a remote missile interceptor station in the middle of the Pacific Ocean after losing a coveted Pentagon post. Her isolation ends when sixteen nuclear missiles are launched at the United States in a coordinated attack, and the same assault reaches the base she commands. Among the people at the station is Alexander Kessel, a former military intelligence officer, whose intentions put the facility and its personnel at risk. With little time to act, Collins must draw on her tactical background and decide who she can rely on.

The 2022 action thriller was directed by Matthew Reilly, who wrote the screenplay with Stuart Beattie; Beattie produced alongside Michael Boughen and Matthew Street. It was made in Australia and the United States. Elsa Pataky plays Collins, with Luke Bracey as Kessel and supporting turns from Aaron Glenane, Belinda Jombwe, Mayen Mehta and Paul Caesar among a credited cast of 37. The film runs 98 minutes.

Audience response has been modest: on IMDb it holds 4.7/10 from around 29,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6/10 from 869 votes. A critics' rating of 4.8/10 from 45 reviews places professional assessment slightly above the IMDb audience figure and below the TMDB one.
