Bandit

Bandit is a crime drama based on the true story of Gilbert Galvan Jr., an American criminal who escapes from a Michigan prison and starts over in Canada under a new identity, Robert Whiteman. There he meets Andrea, and to fund the life he wants with her he returns to robbery, hitting banks and jewellery stores in a spree that makes him one of the most wanted men in the country. His success draws the attention of Detective Snydes, who leads the pursuit. Mel Gibson plays Tommy, a gangster who becomes involved with him.

The film was directed by Allan Ungar, his third feature after Tapped Out and Gridlocked, and precedes London Calling in his filmography. Kraig Wenman wrote the screenplay. Josh Duhamel plays Galvan, with Elisha Cuthbert, Nestor Carbonell and Lorenzo Yearby among a credited cast of 28. It runs 126 minutes and was released on 23 September 2022.
