Suddenly

Ben and Laura are a couple who set out on a sailing trip around the world to improve their strained relationship. While visiting a deserted island near the coast of South America, a severe storm strikes, and they lose their boat. Stranded in a harsh environment with limited supplies and approaching winter, they must cooperate to survive. This struggle for existence tests their emotional bond and forces them to face the dangers of the wilderness together.

Based on the novel Soudain Seuls, the film was directed by Thomas Bidegain, following his previous work, Les Cowboys. The screenplay was written by Bidegain and Valentine Monteil. The lead roles are played by Gilles Lellouche and Mélanie Thierry. This co-production between Belgium, Iceland, and France was produced by Alain Attal and Riva Marker.

With a budget of 23 million USD, the movie earned 1 million USD at the worldwide box office. Audience reception is mixed to positive, with a rating of 6.1/10 on IMDb from 1,500 votes and a score of 6.4/10 on TMDB from 191 votes.
