Borderline

Jeb Maynard is a border patrol officer stationed between California and Mexico. After the murder of his close friend and colleague, Maynard seeks justice against those responsible. While federal authorities believe drug traffickers committed the crime, Maynard is convinced that a human smuggling operation is behind the death. As he investigates the influential figures managing the illegal transport of migrants, he encounters a young Mexican woman who alters his perspective on the people crossing the border.

Directed by Jerrold Freedman, this film followed his 1973 project Blood Sport and preceded his 1986 work Native Son. The screenplay was written by Freedman and Steve Kline. Charles Bronson stars as Maynard, appearing alongside a cast that includes Bruno Kirby, Bert Remsen, Michael Lerner, Kenneth McMillan, and Ed Harris.

Produced by ITC Entertainment, Marble Arch Productions, and Associated Film Distribution, the movie had a budget of 9 million USD but earned 2 million USD at the worldwide box office.
