Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game tells the story of Roger Sharpe, a writer and skilled pinball player who took on New York City's long-standing ban on the game. Working with the music and amusement industry, he set out to persuade the authorities to lift the prohibition that had been in place for decades. Along the way he meets Ellen, an artist, and their relationship develops as his campaign moves forward. The film is a comedy-drama drawn from real events, blending the legal fight over the ban with a romance.
