In the Name of Blood

Set in the working-class districts of Nice, this thriller follows the aftermath of the murder of a respected member of the Georgian community. While his son Tristan seeks a future as an Orthodox priest and supports his grieving mother, the family is reunited when the eldest son, Gabriel, returns from a long exile. Having lived a turbulent life, Gabriel seeks to make amends and restore his family honor.

The film was directed by Akaki Popkhadze, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Florent Hill. This project follows his 2024 film In Silence Everything Roars. The cast features Nicolas Duvauchelle as Gabriel, Florent Hill as Tristan, and Ia Shugliashvili as Catherine, with Denis Lavant and Jean-Philippe Ricci in supporting roles. A total of 40 actors and 50 crew members are credited in the production.
