Pain Hustlers

Pain Hustlers follows Liza Drake, a single mother who has dropped out of college and is struggling to build a better life for herself and her young daughter. After losing her job, a chance encounter with pharmaceutical sales representative Pete Brenner leads her to a small, failing drug startup in Florida. Liza's charm and persistence revive the struggling company and lift her into a life of sudden wealth, but the product she is selling and the people she works for draw her into a criminal scheme with serious consequences.

David Yates directs from a screenplay by Wells Tower, with Yates and Lawrence Grey producing. The film stars Emily Blunt as Liza, Chris Evans as Pete, Catherine O'Hara, Andy García, Jay Duplass and Brian d'Arcy James among a credited cast of 100. It arrived in 2023, after Yates's run of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films, as the ninth feature he directed and a departure from those large-scale fantasy productions.

Released on 20 October 2023 and running 122 minutes, the crime drama earned a 6.6 rating on IMDb from roughly 55,000 votes and the same 6.6 on TMDB from about 821 votes, indicating a modest but broadly consistent response from audiences on both platforms.
