Caddo Lake

Caddo Lake is a mystery thriller about a broken family pushed to its limits when eight-year-old Anna vanishes near the Louisiana lake of the title. Her parents, Celeste and Daniel, and her stepsister Ellie search for her, and the longer they look, the more the lake seems tied to strange occurrences. In a parallel thread, Paris, who grew up in the area, is still struggling with his mother's death in the lake years earlier; his search for answers draws him into the girl's disappearance. Past deaths and vanishings begin to connect, changing the family's history.

The film is directed by Celine Held and Logan George, who also wrote the screenplay, and it was produced by M. Night Shyamalan, Ashwin Rajan and Josh Godfrey. Dylan O'Brien plays Paris and Eliza Scanlen plays Ellie, with Caroline Falk as Anna, Lauren Ambrose as Celeste, Sam Hennings as Ben and Diana Hopper as Cee among a credited cast of 39. It is a drama with mystery, science-fiction and thriller elements, running 103 minutes.

Released in late 2024, the film drew a 6.2 out of 10 from 44 critics' reviews, while audiences responded more warmly, with a 7.3 out of 10 on TMDB from 574 votes and a 6.8 out of 10 on IMDb from 54,000 votes.
