Two professional fixers are called to the same luxury hotel room in New York in the middle of the night to clean up after a prominent district attorney's disastrous encounter with a younger man. Each is used to working alone, and neither expects the other to be there. With the situation quickly becoming more complicated, the two rivals have to work together through a single volatile night, setting aside their mutual dislike and their pride to get the job done.

Jon Watts wrote and directed the film, which follows his three Spider-Man entries and marks a return to the smaller-scale crime material of his earlier work, Cop Car. George Clooney and Brad Pitt lead the cast as the two fixers, alongside Amy Ryan as the district attorney, Austin Abrams as the young man, and Poorna Jagannathan and Zlatko Burić in supporting roles. The production, backed by Apple Studios and Plan B Entertainment among others, had a budget reported at around 80 million dollars.

The film opened in September 2024 and runs just under two hours. Audience response has been moderate and consistent across platforms, with a rating of 6.5 out of 10 on IMDb from roughly 102,000 votes and the same score on TMDB, where it has drawn noticeably fewer votes. A critics' rating of 5.9 out of 10, based on 180 reviews, sits close to those audience figures, suggesting broad agreement rather than a sharp divide between reviewers and viewers.
