Tom Sanders works at a Seattle technology company called DigiCom, where a promotion he expected goes instead to Meredith Johnson, a woman he was involved with years earlier. She now becomes his supervisor and tries to restart their relationship; when he turns her down, she accuses him of sexual harassment. With his job and his marriage at stake, Tom has to build a defense against her complaint. His efforts lead him into the company's internal dealings, where he finds something larger going on at the top of the firm. The film is based on Michael Crichton's bestselling novel, and Crichton produced it with director Barry Levinson.

Levinson directed Disclosure as his eleventh feature, following Toys and preceding Jimmy Hollywood. Paul Attanasio wrote the screenplay. Michael Douglas plays Tom, with Demi Moore as Meredith, Donald Sutherland as Bob Garvin, and Dylan Baker, Jacqueline Kim and Roma Maffia in supporting roles. The production had a budget of 55 million US dollars and took in about 214 million worldwide, a strong return for a drama of its kind.

Disclosure drew a 6.2 rating from 63 critics' reviews, and audiences rated it the same, 6.2 out of 10 on both IMDb and TMDB. The matching scores suggest that viewers and critics responded to the film in broadly similar terms. Released in December 1994, it runs 128 minutes.
