Outpost

In a war-torn town in Eastern Europe, a scientist and businessman named Hunt approaches a former Royal Marine, D.C., in a bar. Hunt wants D.C. to put together a group of experienced ex-soldiers for what he describes as a short, well-paid job: a trip into no-man's land to inspect an old military bunker. The team of mercenaries takes the offer, expecting roughly two days of low-risk work. Once they reach the remote structure, however, they find that the site holds a secret far different from what they were told, and that something there has survived since the Second World War. Cut off from the outside, the men must fight to stay alive.

Outpost is a 2008 British action, adventure and horror film directed by Steve Barker, the first of the two features he has directed in chronological order, followed by The Rezort in 2015. Ray Stevenson leads the cast as D.C., alongside Julian Wadham as Hunt, Richard Brake as Prior, Paul Blair as Jordan, Brett Fancy as Taktarov and Ene Frost as Cotter. The film runs 90 minutes.

On IMDb, the film holds a rating of 5.8 out of 10 from around 19,000 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 5.9 out of 10 from 276 votes. The two audience scores are close to each other, indicating a broadly similar if mixed response from viewers across both platforms.
